This month we have chosen the lovely  Ava Gardner   Born and raised in the rural south, Ava was signed to a Hollywood contract at the age of 18, based solely on a photograph her photographer brother took. She spent three years doing bit parts until 1946, when she stared in  Whistle Stop . Though she didn't leave a big legacy of great films, she did give several great performances in movies such as  The Killers  in 1946,  Mogambo  in 1953 and  Night of the Iguana  in 1964. Unhappy with Hollywood, she moved to Spain in 1955 and made several movies abroad. in 1995 she was chosen by Empire Magazine as one of the  100 sexiest stars in film history , rank at number 68. As one of the world's most famous film stars, Taylor was recognized for her acting talents and for her sensational lifestyle, beauty and distinctive violet eyes. This month we have chosen world war II Pin Up Betty Grable. Her   iconic   bathing suit photo made her the number-one   pin-up girl   of the   World War II   era. Grable was particularly noted for having the most beautiful legs in Hollywood and studio publicity widely dispersed photos featuring them her legs were famously insured by her   studio   for $1,000,000. Diana Dors was a British actress in the 1950's  She often played characters suffering from unrequited love, perhaps an unfortunate parallel to her private life. By the mid 1950s, Dors was known as "the English Marilyn Monroe."  A talented actress  who was destined never to be fully utilised her talent with most of her later work is made up of sex-themed comedies which bordered on soft porn at times! However this didn't stop her at the age of 20 being the  youngest registered owner of a Rolls Royce in the UK. This Month we have chosen the Screen legend that is Marilyn Monroe In the 1940's Marilyn Monroe started her career working as a model for Pin Up magazines in the America making troops happy during the war and getting her noticed by Hollywood studies. She started her screen career in the mid 1940's and went on to become an icon the world over and in 1953 became the first centrefold in Playboy!! Her image over the years has became AB inspiration for Hollywood starlet like scarlett johansson on the Red Carpet and  Music Icons such as Madonna! Here at Bubbles Boutique we have decided to start doing a New feature of Pin Up of the month. Each month a member of our team will choose their favourite Pin-Up who they love and give suggestions of lingerie we think would be right up their street. This Month we have chosen the legend that is Bettie Page:- Bettie Page has often been called the "Queen of Pin-Ups". Her look, including her jet  black hair ,  blue eyes  and trademark  bangs , has influenced many artists including Katy Perry &  Dita Von Teese. She was also one of the very first "Playmates of the Month" in January 1955. Altough only posing for her Pin-Up pictures for only 5 years she is an induring of image of what a pin up should be with curves in all the right places!!  We here at Bubbles Boutique Love her!
